I received the first initiation of Silat PGB Bogor in Jogyakarta, by Max Palar, inheritor n°8 among the first 18 inheritors, of Silat Subur Rahardja. (then exist 2nd international inheritors of another 18.

My SILAT, beside my uncle I Nyoman Siki, home sweet home  Pemedilan, Denpasar Bali, i was iintiated in Jodyakarta, start with an initiation ritual was held at Bengkel Teater W.S.Rendra in Jogyakarta at Ketanggungan Wetan.

We were 18 (included Rendra and his 2 wives that time), ceremony with the present of Suhu Subur Rahardja, Max Palar as leader and trainer, Roedjito as designer for ritual set, it was night time at Ketanggungan Wetan in the little house of Rendra, also center of Bengkel Teater rehearsal, meditation, training. We often did "latihan" (training) on ground virgin floor of the neighbor. It was around 1971 (or 72 sorry for my memories), but definitely  when W.S.Rendra is desperately looking for a Master of martial art for our next production show: Macbeth (I was Macbeth and Rahayu Effendi as Lady Macbeth, Rendra as Director). Rendra directed Macbeth, we performed at T.I.M. JAkarta, Actors wore blue-jean, surdjan(javanese coat) and blancon (javanese traditional hat), for the actress they were in kebaya traditional dress of Java. Set and lighting: Roedjito. 

It was a sacred experience for me to remember now, and very feeding , in spirit, with Rendra's CAMPING CULTURE at PARANGTRITIS, to go there we walk by feet for 30 km through the night, from Jogyakarta. GERAK NURANI of  Bengkel Teater in that wild beach was performed and practiced individually in nature, making TOTEM in the beach of Parangtritis (initiated) by Roedjito was born; the air of wondering cool climate of Hippy's peace spirit at that time perfumed the ambience of work at Bengkel Teater, when the Beatles is dreaming persistently with Joh Lennon "Imagine" ......

Now, here I am still in Paris suburb, in France since 1974. .... continuing to share and cultivate
